Durham to Host 13th Annual MLK, Jr. Observance Program
Event Free and Open to the Public
DURHAM, N.C. – Durham’s local governments will partner for the 13th Annual Durham City-County Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Employee Observance Program at noon on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
The program, organized each year in celebration of Dr. King’s legacy and progressive ideals, will be held at First Presbyterian Church located at 305 E. Main Street in downtown Durham.
The keynote speaker for this event will be Pierce Freelon, a local community leader, musician and entrepreneur as well as a former candidate in the 2017 mayoral race in Durham.
The event program will also include remarks from local leaders and elected officials along with musical selections from the Durham City-County MLK Employee Choir.
