Facts:

  • Durham County Cooperative Extension will host a resource information session for small farmers and landowners on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 8:30-10 a.m. at the County Extension Building.
  • The session, Land Loss Prevention Project, will provide resources that the potential to protect and grow business. Free or low-cost services available to small farmers and landowners will be included in information shared.
  • According to the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, farming is challenging, and it is helpful to farmers and others in agribusiness to have to have access to tools to that increase their opportunities to succeed. “It [farming] can be tough with the many long hours spent in the field, the unpredictable weather, the many government mandates, the constant changes to the supply and demand, and many others.”

     

  • The Land Loss Prevention Project Information Session is free and requires registration due to space limitations.
