DEPUTIES ARREST THREE FOR BREAKING AND ENTERING
Durham, N.C., August 3, 2012--Sheriff's deputies responded to the 2300-block of Clements Dr today at 10:51 a.m. for a reported breaking and entering in progress. An observant neighbor near this location called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle and three males that appeared to be trying to break into a nearby residence. The neighbor provided a detailed and accurate description of the three males and the vehicle, and told the emergency call taker that the vehicle was leaving the scene.
A deputy who was responding to the call observed a vehicle matching the description given by the witness near Old Oxford Road and Hebron Road. He stopped the vehicle and determined the occupants were in fact the break-in suspects.
Subsequent investigation by sheriff's deputies and investigators found that the suspects are allegedly responsible for two break-ins in the 2300-block of Clements Rd and others that occurred recently in the City of Durham.
Daquan Hill, 16, of 112 Overbee Dr, is charged with Attempted Breaking and Entering and is being held in the Durham County Jail under a $1,500 bond.
