Durham, N.C. – Durham County Government has completed its renovation of Administration Building II, also referred to as Admin II, located at 201 E. Main Street. The building, once housing administrative offices and formerly the Durham County Judicial Building, will become home to nearly ten county and state offices as of September 21, 2018. Relocation of the following offices will begin the first week of September:

Residents and visitors seeking services provided by the aforementioned offices should note that the transition may include suspended or delayed services. During the relocation of Emergency Medical Services Administrative Offices on September 4th first responder services will not be interrupted. Services provided by Tax Administration September 4th and 5th will be extremely limited during the move. The Register of Deeds Office will be closed during their transitional period of September 6th and 7th.

According to County Manager Wendell M. Davis,” 201 East Main Street is now a contemporary adaptive reuse space that affords Durham County Government the ability to continue its goal of locating and consolidating services in County owned space within the government services district. The modern design contributes to the vibrancy of the great things happening in downtown Durham.”
