Horseshoe Rd Fatal Fire

The Sheriff's Office has been informed about a correction to the name of one of the people injured during Saturday's fire on Horseshoe Rd. We would like to properly identify Kyiandrea Terry as the female victim. Ms. Terry has since died as a result of her injuries. Her family would like to ask for privacy during this time.
When firefighters arrived Mr. William Davis Jr. 45, of the home, was outside. He told firefighters that two people were still inside and directed them to their locations. Firefighters were able to rescue Mr. William Davis Sr., 73 and Ms. Keisha Terry, 39. Mr. Davis Sr. was transported to a local hospital where he died. Ms.Terry was taken to a local hospital and transferred to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center for treatment of her injuries. Mr. Davis Jr. was treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital and has been released.
Investigators from the Durham Sheriff’s Office and the Durham County Fire Marshal’s office continue to investigate the cause of the fire at this hour.
