Durham County Manager To Present Recommendations for FY 2019-2020 Budget
Durham, N.C. – Durham County Manager Wendell M. Davis will present his recommended budget to the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, May 13, 2019. The presentation will take place during the BOCC’s Regular Session scheduled at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners Chambers, located at 200 E. Main Street.
Last year’s recommended budget addressed the complex dynamics of Durham’s growing population and the County’s ability to deliver required services. Similar to last year, the forthcoming recommended budget has been created to align with the key areas of focus communicated during Board of County Commissioners recent budget retreat and guided by the Managing for Results Model introduced by Manager Davis in 2015.

The proposed FY 2019-2020 budget will be accessible following the presentation on Monday. Copies of the proposal will be made available in the Clerk to the Board’s Office. Residents without access to an electronic device to view the proposed budget online are invited to visit any of the County's Library locations where wifi and computers are available.

A public hearing for the FY 2019-2020 Budget is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10th. The hearing will take place in the Commissioners’ Chambers.
In coming weeks, residents will be invited to make comments about the recommended budget by accessing the County’s Budget Comment Portal at www.dconc.gov/19-20budgetportal.
