The mission of the Security Division of General Services Department is to provide protection for County employees, customers, facilities and properties.  The Security Division  provides a variety of services including: contract uniformed security officers (armed, unarmed and Company Police), vulnerability/ threat assessments; intrusion monitoring systems; security cameras; crime prevention through environmental design; Lock & Key; security awareness, education and training.

County Convenience Sites Closed on July 11th

Durham, NC – Durham County’s Convenience Sites will close on Thursday, July 11, 2019, for staff professional development training. The locations: Rougemont – 108 Bill Poole Rd.; Bahama – 9008 Quail Roost Rd., Redwood – 100 Electra Rd., and Parkwood – 5928 Highway 55, will reopen for normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 12th.

 

Durham County’s roadside recycling collection services will not be affected by the convenience site closures.
