Board of Elections Office Returns to Permanent Location

Move will Include Temporary Service Interruptions

Post Date:11/26/2019

Durham, N.C. –

At the beginning of this year, the Durham County Board of Elections Office temporarily moved to 120 E. Parrish Street, situated between Church and Mangum Streets, while the building where the Office was housed underwent construction. Now that the construction project at the BOE’s original office location is complete, operations for the BOE will return to the Judicial Annex, located at 201 N. Roxboro Street.

The Board of Elections will move back to its first-floor location accessible at the corner of Roxboro and Liberty Streets in downtown Durham today. The Board of Elections has closed to the public during the move and will reopen on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. The office will be in full operation in time for the upcoming candidate filing scheduled to begin on Monday, December 2.

Residents and visitors seeking services provided by the Board of Elections Office at its permanent location can park in visitor spaces outside the building or access nearby on street parking. The Church Street Parking Deck, accessible from Main and Ramseur Streets, is another option for individuals needing parking while accessing services.
