Seeking suspects in armed carjacking at ATM

UPDATE: Durham, NC (February 28, 2019)  On Thursday, February 27, investigators from the Durham County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the FBI's Raleigh/Durham Safe Streets Task Force, Durham Police Department, and the NCDMV License and Theft division served a search warrant at a home located at 670 Troy St., Durham NC.  At this location, they located Kenneth Jerome Wiley, 36, of that address. Wiley had been developed as a person of interest in the investigation into an armed carjacking at the Bank of America's ATM on the evening of February 5th. He can be seen in surveillance video leaving the area in the victim's vehicle.  As a result of the search, Wiley was placed in custody and this morning made an initial appearance in Federal Court in Greensboro, NC.  He currently faces federal charges of Carjacking, Carry & Use Firearm, by brandishing during a crime of violence and Possession of a firearm by felon. He is being held in federal custody pending a detention hearing.

 (February 19, 2020)  On the night of February 5, 2020, at approximately 10:42 p.m. a man arrived at the ATM at the Bank of America located on 2 Park Drive in Research Triangle Park.  As he was using the automated teller machine a red SUV, possibly a Kia Sorento, occupied with 2 unknown men pulled in front of him. They each displayed a weapon and demanded the victim get out of the car.  After forcing him from the car at gunpoint, one of the suspects returned to the original vehicle and the other left in the victim's car.
