Welcome to Durham County Memorial Stadium

Built in 1958 and receiving updated facilities including the Tommy Hunt Press Box, an expanded concourse and revisions to team spaces in 2010; the 8,500 seat Durham County Memorial Stadium has a tradition hosting dynamic events for Durham and the surrounding community.  Durham County Memorial Stadium is the home of Northern High School Football and Tobacco Road FC.

In 2019, Durham County Memorial Stadium made considerable improvements to the track facilities at the stadium.  Track and Javelin Runway has been resurfaced with a Beynon BS2000RE encapsulated surface and a combination Hammer-Discus cage has been installed.  The stadium has been the host to events put on by local, regional and national organizations including USATF - Youth National Committee, USATF - North Carolina, Big Eight Athletic Conference, Powerade State Games, North Carolina Senior Games and other local club events.

The Stadium's Willie Bradshaw Field is an artificial turf surface lined for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse.  In addition to our home teams, events of all levels have competed on our field from youth to professional including the Middle and High School Championships, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Football Championship and Legends of Honduras International Soccer Match.

Durham County Memorial Stadium is also equipped to host special events including concerts, fairs, walks and other events that have an impact on Durham and the greater community.  We look forward to your visit as a participant, spectator or event promoter.
