Welcome to Durham County Memorial Stadium
Built in 1958 and receiving updated facilities including the Tommy Hunt Press Box, an expanded concourse and revisions to team spaces in 2010; the 8,500 seat Durham County Memorial Stadium has a tradition hosting dynamic events for Durham and the surrounding community.
Durham County Memorial Stadium is the home of Northern High School Football and Tobacco Road FC. The stadium is proud to be the host site of the 2019 USA Track and Field Youth National Outdoor Championships this upcoming June.
The Stadium's Willie Bradshaw Field is an artificial turf surface lined for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. In addition to our home teams, events of all levels have competed on our field from youth to professional including the Middle and High School Championships, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Football Championship and Legends of Honduras International Soccer Match. Our certified eight lane track has allowed us to host elite track and field youth, high school and collegiate events. In addition to being the host site for the 2019 USATF Youth National Outdoor Championships, the stadium is host to local, state and nationally recognized meets such as the Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational, USA Track and Field - North Carolina Youth Outdoor Championships, Big 8 High School Conference Championships, the Powerade State Championships and the N.C. Senior State Games.
Durham County Memorial Stadium is also equipped to host special events including concerts, fairs, walks and other events that have an impact on Durham and the greater community. We look forward to your visit as a participant, spectator or event promoter.
