The Register of Deeds is responsible for maintaining all titles and records in Durham County, including:
- Assumed names
- Birth, marriage, and death certificates (vital records)
- Corporate and partnership certificates
- Deeds, deeds of trust
- Land titles
- Military records
- Notaries public and administration of oaths
- Plats
- Transaction records
